The 4-section telescopic legs are multi-angle and use Velbon’s quick-lock system for fast and easy setup, with a maximum extended height of 161cm. A key feature of the SUB-65 is its removable centre column, which becomes a 5-section monopod, extending up to 164cm. This set also includes Velbon’s acclaimed Hide-Clamp II, which allows the centre column to be mounted on a table or inside a birdwatching hide for steady photography/observation.

I have not been able to find any reviews on this tripod so this is mine.
Love some of the features, it is very versatile, as a photographer and birder I wanted a tripod for both hobbies. It is a little on the heavy side but this is a trade of for what you get. The centre column is also a monopod adding 3 extra tubes inside plus a hide clamp attached to this increasing the overall weight.
It is very sturdy even at its maximum height so here the extra weight helps.
The head works very well with my scope attached I can set the resistance for the pan and tilt and it just stays put without having to lock in place, I can just move my view easily. As I do not have a long lens for my camera like a 600mm I cannot say this would work the same, might be to front heavy.
So what do I hate, well the head is made of plastic and although it works very well my concern is the quick release plate and clip. There is play in this part and I feel the clip is not strong enough to do the job either. Even the manual says not to carry equipment attached to the head, thats a big concern for me as I like to carry my scope attached.
There is no bubble level, so how do you set up on uneven ground for photos. No foam pads at all on the legs, come velbon these last 2 points would cost pennys to add.
Overall its a good all round product let down by a few cost saving points and not a cheap tripod, at this price I would expect better.
