The Viking Vistron 10x42 binoculars are great value for money and really well manufactured. Boasting 10x magnification makes these binoculars great for getting the subject close and the large 42mm objective lens compensate well for the loss of light due to the extra magnification. To help with the low light, the 10x42 Vistron have an additional silver coating on the optics for bright, sharp images.
100% waterproof and hydrogen filled to prevent condensation and fogging, the Vistron range of binoculars are perfect for keen watchers who don't want to be limited by the weather conditions. Heavy downpours are taken in their stride and if you happen to fall into a stream, then the binoculars may well cope better than you. They can be washed under to tap at the end of the day, if they have got particularly dirty, which is a real bonus for anyone using them near the sea, as they can be rinsed off after use to get rid of any salt residue.
The twist up eyecups are very useful for ease of viewing, as they help with eye relief when viewing with or without glasses. On a bright, sunny day, when wearing sunglasses, simply twist the caps down and view as normal, if the sun goes in, then just twist them back up and they fit perfectly to the eyes for comfortable viewing. This also works well with users who want to keep their spectacles on when using the binoculars. The eyesight correction wheel on the right-hand barrel, is great for adjusting the dioptre as once set, it remains fixed until it is changed again; just focus the binoculars as usual and then shut the left eye and turn the wheel until the image is pin sharp and that’s it.
The Vistron 10x42 can focus down to 1.5 metres, making them extremely versatile, which is ideal for viewing insects or anything that is just a bit too small to see properly with the naked eye and the edge to edge quality of the optics, gives excellent colour rendition and fine detail. They are comfortable to hold and come with a carry case, strap and caps.
