Birds and Flowers of the Castle of Mey and Balmoral

James Adler's meticulous and essentially personal vision of our northern birds and wild flora was previously only accessible in two limited editions: a volume on the Castle of Mey was presented to the late Queen Mother in 1993; a second volume, on Balmoral, was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth II in 1997. This book brings together both works, presenting 50 full page reproductions of Adler's watercolours accompanied by the artist's own commentaries and botanical texts by Jennifer and Paddy Woods.
