Delivery Information


We are still dispatching online and telephone orders but please note we are not able to guarantee same day dispatch - we aim to dispatch orders by no later than close of business the day following the day we receive an order.

All our prices include post and packing in the UK and online payments can be made securely on our checkout page with payments processed by WorldPay or PayPal.  We also accept payment by cheque (payable to 'The Birders Store') and these can be sent to our store at: The Birder's Store, 4a King Charles Place, St John’s, Worcester WR2 5AJ. If paying by cheque, please email us your order using the email address below. We also accept card payments over the telephone: 01905 312877 (lines open 9am to 5pm Tuesday - Saturday).

Orders are dispatched using Royal Mail, or for bulky items (eg larger spotting scopes and tripods) ParcelForce Express 48 service. For overseas orders, please email us for a quotation as shipping fees vary widely depending on size, weight, value and destination. Unfortunately we are unable to send optical equipment with a value of £300 or more to destinations outside Europe and we do not ship items of any value to South Africa.

Orders are dispatched during our normal opening hours. We aim to dispatch orders received by 3pm the same day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (up to midday). Orders received on Saturday (after midday), Sunday and Monday are dispatched on Tuesday.

Please note that for selected postcodes in the Channel Islands and far north of Scotland items sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery may not be delivered by 1pm next working day but will take no longer than 3 working days.

If you are not at home when delivery is attempted the parcel will be returned to your nearest Royal Mail/ParcelForce depot and a card will be left providing you with options for collecting from the depot, redelivery at a time to suit you or delivery to your nearest Post Office branch for collection.
